Find Balance, independence & confidence

Services for Teens & Young Adults

Have you found yourself asking any of these questions…

  • How do I get my child more motivated in school?
  • Why are they so addicted to their phone?
  • How can I help, while also allowing my child to become more independent?

The teenage years are an exciting part of life. From shifting hormones, peer pressure, and being a child while also wanting to become an adult… Let us help consider ideas and supports to help maintain the balance between having high expectations while raising a capable, and confident, young adult.

You continue to be an important part of the child’s life, but the reality is that the support should look different during this time. We will work with your teen to help them see their own strengths and abilities while recognizing the key role that their family plays. Teenagers also require more opportunities to find their own path, which can be scary for them as well.

Cultivate ideas and strategies

Services for Parents

Have you found yourself asking any of these questions…

  • Where do I even start?
  • How can my child be so different, what should I do?
  • How do I ‘get through’ to my child so that they understand?

Parenting can be challenging – especially with all of the new technologies, social pressures, and circumstances during today. Children are being raised differently than before, schools are operating differently than before, and being a student is very different than it used to be. Academic expectations for students are moving higher and higher – but it seems that supports are not keeping up. Homework can be challenging for both the student and parent – but we still want our children to do well.

There are so many factors that it can be extremely difficult to know where to start. Let us help, call or email us today for ideas or strategies. We have worked with many families – those with honor students and individuals with special needs. We hope to help share our experience to make the path a little easier.
